About the Department

Our college Asannagar Madan Mohan Tarkalankar college has been running since 2007. Bengali Honours and General course has been taught in our college since its inception. The department is the largest in terms of the number of students among the four Honours subjects that are currently taught in the college. At present the department has three Assistant Professors and three SACT teachers. Of these six teachers, four are Ph.D awarded. Although there is no separate Departmental room for the teachers, there are two specific rooms for the students to read and write. Numerous students from different semesters of the department passed with first class. Many students in the department for higher education have now taken M.A and Ph.D courses at various universities.
