About the Department

Although Asannagar Madan Mohan Tarkalankar College was established in 2007, after the introduction of CBCS SYSTEM in 2018, Geography as a program course was offered to the students of the college. There is one SACT teacher in this department. When the NEP 2020 education system is introduced from 2023, Geography is taught as a Minor and MDC.

Infrastructural Facilities:

A well-equipped Library that caters the needs of the students as well as the teachers. Specimen copies are preserved for the disposal of the students. Internet facilities for the students and staff are provided centrally. Apart from this, there is a geography laboratory where students have access to all the necessary laboratory equipment.

Mission:

The Department of Geography fully educates the students about the natural, economic and cultural environment. Students are able to develop themselves at research level. In the laboratory they make their intellectual development through various experiments. We want to create a modern and rational element in future generations.

Vision:

The aim of the department is holistic development of young students and make them future citizens of the nation who are reliable, honest, committed and have right value system. Our efforts will build cordial relationship between teachers and students. Will actively prepare students for various inter and inter-college debate and declamation competitions and prepare them for professional life.
